Core Business Foundations

Inspired by the bold industrial vision of Mr. Enrico Mattei, the historic President of ENI, Fabio Baretti Paleari led the company's entry into the newly expanding worldwide hydrocarbon industry. Baretti began manufacturing specialized equipment for this sector, soon expanding into the design, construction and installation of Marine Loading Arms and highly specialized berthing facilities for oil supertankers. This strategic pivot laid the foundation for the company's core business.

Innovation & Expansion

Driven by an enthusiastic entrepreneurial spirit, Fabio travelled to the United States nearly 65 years ago. His mission was ambitious: to acquire advanced licenses for fractionation tray technologies. This decisive move brought cutting-edge American technology back to Italy, opening up unprecedented market opportunities and establishing Baretti as a trusted technological partner worldwide.

Supply of early Marine and Land Loading Arms with diameters ranging from 6” to 12” for domestic refineries including Saras, Agip Raffinazione and S. Marco Petroli.

High Precision & Nuclear Quality

Quality & Precision

Under his leadership, the company diversified into high-precision mechanical manufacturing. Baretti designed and built specialized high-precision machinery and even manufactured components for nuclear power plants. To meet the rigorous demands of the nuclear industry, the company implemented and certified the most advanced Quality Management Systems of the time, cementing a culture of absolute precision that still distinguishes us today.
